PNB KYC Update: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has asked its customers to update their KYC details before August 31, 2023, per RBI standards. In a press release dated August 2, 2023, PNB has said that customers whose accounts are yet to get KYC updated will receive two notices from the bank on their registered address and SMS messages on their registered mobile number.
What information to give?
PNB customers have been asked to provide updated details for the KYC process. This detail includes identity proof, address proof, one latest photograph, PAN, income proof, mobile number, etc.
You can send this KYC information through PNB One/IBS/Registered Email/Post or submit the documents by visiting the bank branch.
What to do if your information is the same?
A customer in this situation can certify that no changes have been made to their KYC information by providing a self-declaration to the bank through email, letter, or in-person at a branch.
How to check PNB KYC status
- Login to PNB online with credentials
- Click on Check KYC Status under Personal Settings
- If you need to update your KYC, you will see the information.
What if KYC is not updated
PNB has clearly stated that non-updation of KYC details may lead to a ban on operating your account. That means your account may be deactivated, and you will not be able to use your account.
