PM Narendra Modi’s mother, Hira ba, has passed away
At the age of 15 or 16, she was married to Damodardas Modi. The economic condition of the house was not good. Because of this, she could not study herself, but she worked tirelessly to teach the children.
Hiraba used to draw water from a deep well every morning and evening, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his brother Prahlad. I did not consume any outside food. She used to get up at 4 in the morning to do household chores. She would then go to work in other people’s homes. Hiraba knew many types of home remedies.
Along with her children, she also used to treat many other children and women in Vadnagar. Hiraba lost his mother at a young age to the Spanish flu. Hiraba’s husband and PM Modi’s father, Damodardas Modi, used to sell tea at Vadnagar railway station.
In such a situation, there was less income. Hiraba did the work of washing dishes in other people’s houses to meet the household expenses. PM Modi had told them that Hiraba’s hard work had resulted in no problems for any of Hiraba’s children, including himself, even after the mud walls and tile roof were installed.
Damodardas Modi and Heeraba had 6 children. Among them, Narendra Modi is at number three. The rest of his children’s names are Amrit Modi, Pankaj Modi, Prahlad Modi, and Soma Modi, and his daughter’s name is Vasanti Ben Hansmukhlal Modi.
Hiraba was a woman of very strong personality. There was no trace of fear in them. Prahlad Modi had told him that thieves had entered the house one night. They also had weapons in their hands, but Hiraba fought these thieves firmly.
In such a situation, the thieves could not think of any other way than to run away. In the life of PM Modi’s mother, Hiraba, there was no such thing as laziness. Even after being 100 years old, she used to do most of her work herself. Before her death, she lived with her son, Pankaj Modi.
